Decarbonization, Decentralization and Digitization vs. Deacceleration

The new coronavirus pandemic, the collapse in oil prices and the reduction in electricity demand have caused numerous impacts in the energy (sub)sectors. Studies by the International Energy Agency (IEA) show that the pace of expansion of renewable energy is slowing down, and is expected to drop for the first time in 20 years. According to the report “Fostering Effective Energy Transition 2020”, prepared by the World Economic Forum, one of the great challenges of the new world order that will emerge after the pandemic outbreak will be to achieve an effective and inclusive energy transition.

Experiencing the
Post-Pandemic Ibero-American
